SM Prestige - AIG Philippines Comprehensive Personal Accident & Travel Insurance Program
 

SM Prestige members are entitled to a Personal Accident and Travel Insurance for only 40 points (equivalent to P40).

The Comprehensive Personal Accident and Travel Insurance package includes:

• Up to P150,000 Upgraded Personal Accident Insurance - Grants cash benefits for losses caused by death or injury due to accident for one year
• Up to P250,000 Upgraded Travel Personal Accident Insurance - Provides coverage to an SM Prestige member travelling anywhere outside the Philippines up to a maximum of 15 days
• Travel Inconvenience Benefit - Up to a maximum of 15 days each time the insured travels within one year of enrollment
• Prestige member travelling anywhere outside the Philippines up to a maximum of 15 days
• Travel Inconvenience Benefit - Up to a maximum of 15 days each time the insured travels within one year of enrollment
• Reimbursement for Loss/Damage to Baggage up to Php20,000 while travelling outside the Philippines
• Medical Expense Reimbursement up to Php5,000 for reasonable and customary expenses incurred due to sickness and accidents suffered while travelling
• Reimbursement up to Php1,000 for every 12-Hour Flight Delay
• Reimbursement up to Php1,000 for every 12-Hour Luggage Delay

Upon accumulation of 100 reward points, you are automatically eligible for the AIG Insurance coverage for one year.

You must be between 18 and 70 years old, and have a minimum balance of 100 points.

• Accidental Burial Expense Reimbursement

Upon accumulation of 70 reward points, you are automatically eligible for the AIG Insurance cover for one year.

You must be between 18 and 70 years old, and have a minimum balance of 70 points.

It's not very often that we get an offer like this with our discount and rewards point cards, but since this is something that is easy to apply for and from a department store chain that we visit and shop in for often than not, this is a deal that we shouldn't pass up. It's an insurance plan that we can avail at a price that cost as much as one would spend on a single drink. Most often then not, we'd find other insurance providers that'll offer the same package for a price that's back breaking. My personal advice is that it is wise to avail of insurances because we can't tell what the future might bring for us. In times of emergencies, insurance policies like the one offered by SM and AIG Philippines is a very good deal to have. It'll save you and your family from dishing out money from your emergency reserves in the long run.
