I have been feeling down and under the weather the past couple of days. Going through a rough emotional time and to be honest am not sure what am supposed to do about it. I feel a bit lost and confused for one. In times like these though I turn to a particular duo who has never failed to somehow give me a little bit of hope and helps lift my spirits up even for just a bit. So today I would like to feature that person - Mary Mary.
Mary Mary is a two-time Grammy award winning American gospel music duo, consisting of sisters Erica Campbell (born April 29, 1972(1972-04-29)) and Tina Campbell (born May 1, 1974(1974-05-01)). The duo are often credited along with Kirk Franklin for broadening the fan base of urban contemporary gospel in the 2000s by introducing elements of soul music, hip hop, funk and jazz. Mary Mary broke onto the music scene with their popular song "Shackles."
In their latest album, The Sound Mary Mary also explore synthpop, electronica and pop rock.
