Travel To Bangkok

In June, I'll be traveling to Bangkok Thailand to check out the hippest places to visit and to eat. I personally am looking forward to what to expect in terms of the shopping and historical spots that they have in the place. The pictures of that upcoming trip shall be posted here once I get back to Manila. In the meantime let me show you how we were able to get the best deals for the trip.

Planning the trip to Bangkok took the following steps:

  • Choosing the Airline to go with -  In this case I picked Cebu Pacific because of their Promo fares. A lot of people have asked me how I get abreast with the latest Cebu Pacific promos on time, the best way is to subscribe to CP's Newsletter as a Cebu Pacific Member. Another is if you are using an Android Phone Unit - You can download the Cebu Pacific application (it's free) and have it set to notify you of the latest offers. The later is what I have and to be honest it has been quite convenient. Sorry though for the iphone users, I've tried looking at app store and unfortunately cebu pacific hasn't made one for the apple market - though hopefully they should soon.
  • Choosing the Hotel/Accommodations - There are many websites that can offer pretty awesome hotel packages at discounted prices. Personally I check the following:
    • www.agoda.com (there are phone apps for this)
    • www.groupon.com (android has this, not sure with app store)
  • Create an Itinerary - Making an Itinerary requires a lot of research about the place prior to visiting. More often than not we tend to ask friends and family members that have paid a visit to the place and listen to their recommendation. I also do the same but at the same time I pay a visit to a site called Trip  Advisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/) for more details and visitor feedback.
Now these three steps have helped out in terms of the planning stage for our Bangkok Trip. For those of you that are curious about Bangkok, here are some fast facts.
